Jesus’s But…: A Study of the Sermon on the Mount and the Invitation to live Different

It is the greatest sermon that has ever been preached and today it still inspires, confronts, empowers and invites all those who hear to a new way of living.  A way of living that takes seriously the love of God and the love of our neighbors. It frees us to live in the grace, love and mercy of Jesus and it challenges us to not jut be hearers of the good news but to live it.  Throughout the sermon Jesus makes several “but” statements to help us to shift our view and understanding from the kingdom of the world to the Kingdom of Heaven.  These statements teach us how to live in and into the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth.
