The word “maundy” comes from the Latin “mandatum” which means commandment. On this night everyone is invited to remember the new commandment Jesus gave his followers, “Love one another” (John 13:34). Members of our North Star family will bring the disciple’s perspectives to life through a reader’s theater of the Last Supper when Jesus said, “Do this in remembrance of me.” (Luke 22:19, I Corinthians 11:23-26) To conclude this meaningful service, all are welcome to share in the bread and cup of communion.
