OUR BELIEFS

God

There is only one God. God is the Maker of the Universe. He is one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is Love.

Jesus

Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a sinless human life, died on the cross, was buried, and raised from the dead. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life – through Him we receive forgiveness of sin and eternal life. He will return to Earth to reign as King.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God with us. He is our Comforter in times of need and our Guide to understanding spiritual truth.

The Bible

The Bible is the Word of God. It was written by human authors inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is truth.

Salvation

All humans are sinners and in need of redemption. The consequence of sin is death, and it is by grace that we are saved. No person can be good enough or work hard enough to earn salvation. Salvation is God’s free gift; upon accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we shall receive everlasting life.

Sacraments

We recognize two sacraments: Holy Communion and Holy Baptism. Holy Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is done in remembrance of – and belief in – the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. We practice open Communion, welcoming all who love Jesus to receive the bread and the juice that symbolizes the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Holy Baptism is a public acknowledgement of the acceptance of Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We baptize persons of all ages by sprinkling, immersion, or pouring.
